Have you ever had plastic on your Diamond Painting canvas that you don’t like? It is simply not good. The plastic on the painting rustles or it does not want to let go of the canvas. You don’t have to endure it. Fortunately, there are alternatives you can use instead.

Baking/parchment paper

You can replace the bad plastic with baking paper. Something that is easy to obtain and does not cost a fortune. Keep in mind that it is best to try on a small piece of the canvas first so you are sure that the baking paper will come of. Since there are so many different brands out there you never know if someone is not suitable for this.

Save the good plastic

If you have finished a painting and thought that the plastic on it was good, you can save it and reuse it on one that has bad plastic. Both good for the environment and nice for you who get plastic you are happy with. It doesn’t take up much space either, so you don’t have to worry about a lack of space.

Buy good plastic

If you have not made so many paintings and do not have any plastic to save, you can buy plastic. There are pieces you can buy that are about the same size as an A5 paper (140×105 mm, about 5.5×4.1 inches). Which means that if you still cut to the protective plastic on the board it is already clear when you put them on. This plastic is not the transparent one that most people do not like, but the white a little thicker plastic. If you want to buy it you can find it here: white plastic.
