There are many who, when sitting with their Diamond Painting, think it looks pixelated and ugly. You can’t see what it is. It doesn’t have to be that you have ordered one too small. You may need to take a step back and look at your painting at some distance.

Distance

This is the case with works made in pixels. Whether it’s pixel art, cross stitch or Diamond Painting. They are best viewed from a small distance. When you sit close to your project and stare at it from a few inches away, it is difficult to see the whole. Similarly, when you are just starting out with your painting, it can be difficult to see what it is. Then you have to be patient and finish up a bigger part. Then you can then take a step back and see the whole. I am working on a painting right now that I sometimes wonder what it is supposed to be. If I then take a step back and look at it with a little distance instead of the little part I am doing, I can see it clearly. If you are unable to see what it is in the picture below, I can reveal that it is the head and upper part of a bird. The bigger picture above is more of the painting, and from a little distance so it’s easier to see.

Too small

Although it often helps to take a step back and see the whole. There are cases when the painting is simply too small. It will be pixelated no matter how far away you go. Therefore, it is important to keep in mind when ordering a Diamond Painting that the larger the painting the more details will be included.
